"Dress Like Mr. Rogers Day" on the MI Trolley

While riding the Monmouth Independence Trolley last year, I struck upon the idea of using the birthday of children's television host Fred Rogers to promote local trolley service. A red trolley was featured prominently in "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" from 1968 to 2001. Rogers was also known for wearing sweaters, so city and school officials rode local trolleys on March 20 similarly attired. See the article from the Oregonian below!
